Everyone should read this article by Jeff Bleich, chairman of the Cal State University Board of Trustees, even if you are not a CSU student.

Actually, I'd say we need to cut school funding, not increase it. I am in favor of education, however most of our school spend their money on stupid things that they don't really need. If we pump more money into schools, its not going to go back into teacher, or students. It will most likely go to school-politicians.

Yes, cutting funding would hurt students and teachers, but it would also force school systems to re-evaluate how they spend their money. I also believe we should mandate caps in school-management salaries.
