"They are so unlike your Christ"

I have seen a bumper sticker several times over the past month. It says "I like your Christ. I don't like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ." Its convicting and really sad because even if we try as hard as we can to be a good witness, we are still lumped into the same group as Ted Haggard and Jim & Tammy Faye Bakker.

That is very frustrating to me as well. There is a book coming out by a guy I like you can find at this URL.
It's called They Like Jesus But Not the Church

Thank god for Billy Graham, It is really sad that people are stereotyped by tv figures don't you think. I think we as Christians need to take the responsibility and not just place it on the media.... it falls into a word I like to call agape... those people with the bumper stickers have obviously not met the right "Christians"

I think that it is the fact that Christians try to take away certain rights as well as try to control people via the government to heed to their beliefs. "Judge not lest yee be judged"....

It is hard not to generalize the majority and still make your point heard. What is sad is that "Christianity" like most organized religions is and has been used as another way to separate rather than unite. This is sad, however,

If you are living as you should, then there should be no frustration, only understanding in your heart. Smile in your knowing, and inspire your light in others.

You don't even remotely get it. Unless you are a full-on bleeding heart peacenik socialist, you are unlike Christ. It's not just the frauds that you mention. All the fundies, no matter how sincere, could not be further from Christ's message.
